Cottage Mastoua House (Cancale)
Homepage
The story: Theophile Lemaître, Brigitte's great-grandfather, Captain and Stella Marie's owner, set out to catch cod on the coasts of Newfoundland. On his return he traded and went down to the Bay of Biscay and even to Spain and Portugal. It was during one of these landings that he was called by the natives, not Lemaitre but EL MAESTRO.
The Cancalais resumed this, and with their patois it became MASTOUA. At that time in Cancale, many families had a nickname (La Galiche, Poil Jaune, D'Artagne, Le Baron ...). Mastoua has therefore remained the nickname of our family in memories Cancalaises ...
The lodge was the place where the captain stored some of his equipment. It has been redesigned for your comfort while retaining its authentic character.
Description:
An ideal place for a couple since there is only one room through which one must pass to access the bathroom. From your bed you can see the sea, where the Stella Marie was at anchor.
In the living room, stone walls, solid wooden chestnut parquet, combine relaxation area in the lounge and dining area, equipped kitchen (oven fridge, dishwasher etc ...).
Although very close to the animations, the accommodation is perfectly quiet. In the summer you can enjoy a spacious and discreet yard for BBQ grills or tea in the shade of the banana trees that grow there quietly.
The sea is a few steps away and it is a pleasure to enjoy it.
