Welcome to Metairie Basse, in the heart of Regional Natural Park of Upper Languedoc in lush greenery, 500 meters above sea level, quiet setting. Our two cottages "3 épis"and "guide du routard" have been refurbished in a farmhouse full of character. Independent from our home ,the rooms combine rustic charm with modern comfort (160 beds), with a fireplace, a kitchen and a sun terrace. In the middle of chestnut trees which we have done our core business, we welcome you into the family farm, cultivated in organic farming: you can enjoy breakfast :chestnut cream and home-made jam, pancakes with chesnut flour... You can explore scenic and varied landscapes throughout the trails, the greenway or hiking trails as well as swimming in lakes, visiting the caves of the Devèze, the cathedral of Saint-Pons de Thomières, its market, the city Cathar Minerve, Carcassonne.
