CHÂTEAU DE MAYRAGUES (castelnau de montmiral) : Homepage bed and breakfast

Close to the medieval village of Castelnau de Montmiral and to the large national forest of the Grésigne, the Château de Mayragues stands since the middle ages in rolling, wooded countryside surrounded by vines. A rare example of the local fortified architecture, a half timbered balcony, originally built for defensive purposes, surrounds the top of the building. Access to the two guest bedrooms, which are on the second floor of the château, is by way of the balcony and they have a marvellous view over the garden and the surrounding countryside. Furnished with taste, they are both warm and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the large dining hall on the ground floor and there is the opportunity to taste the wines of the château, all bio-dynamic.
